Meet Jo.
Jo Eykyn has lived salon life from every angle. She cut her teeth managing busy branches at Toni & Guy and Haringtons before going on to found and run her own salon business. Alongside that, she retrained part-time to become a fully qualified HR professional. With more than 30 years’ experience spanning ownership, education, NVQ assessment and consultancy, she brings something rare: the authority of an HR expert and the empathy of someone who’s been on the salon floor herself.
That mix of experience is what inspired her to create The Salon HR Expert. Jo knows how exhausting it is to juggle clients, staff and compliance while dealing with the never-ending dramas of holidays, sickness, disciplinaries and contracts. She set up the consultancy to take that weight off salon owners’ shoulders and give them the confidence to focus on what really matters - their clients, their creativity and their growth.
